We have two eyes.
Two ears.
Two arms.
Two legs.
Two hands.
Two feet.
Two kidneys.
Two sides in our brains.
So then, why do we have only one face ?
Or, put differently, what would happen if we had two faces?
I guess maybe if everyone had two faces, that would be the normal thing to have, and then we would think having only one face was weird.
But that's not the case and we only have one face.
Why?
Obviously, I don't know the real answer to this question so I'm just going to guess.
This is an adorable kitten. She (or he) only has 1 face.
This is also a kitten and I still think it's pretty cute, but at first glance, it weirds you out a bit.
2. You wouldn't really know which face was telling the truth when they displayed different expressions and emotions.
3. It would be weird... Will you stand facing one and only speak to that one and just end up ignoring the other one? Or will you stand at a distance so you can see both?
4. What if they were back to back and not next to each other? How would you know if the other face wasn't interested, was being disrespectful, or anything else ?
And these are only some of the possibilities of why we only have one face.
Hence the term, "two-faced" is used for people we don't really like. It's not that they are literally two faced, but what's worse, they are two faced on the inside.
It's way more dangerous.
Because even if you can see someone's "two-facedness", other people might not be able to. Which can drive you crazy.
It's not pretty.
Not at all.
I would rather have a world with literally two faced people walking around, than people who are two-faced inside. At least with people who actually have two faces, you know that they have two faces and you know what to expect.
The other one is purely dangerous.
People should be who they are. All the time, everywhere, whoever it is that they are with.
People who aren't drive me crazy, and they're not pleasant to be around.
Don't be one of those people.
In fact, don't be around those people either.
It's really not pretty.
Oh and by the way, we also have only one heart.
Just saying...
